Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ter Robson kicked off to start the match. Duncan McRachs short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Martin King to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. WhoDatSaints's Martin King proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save WhoDatSaints from getting a goal against them. When Reece White fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dumbarton's protests and gave Reece White a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dumbarton getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Reece White hit a great ball. Jordan Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Giles having to interfere. When Duncan McRach came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Dumbarton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duncan McRach couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ter Robson in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin King prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ter Robson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Duncan McRach could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Martin King however easily saved by the left post. Dumbarton's Ter Robson managed to work through WhoDatSaints's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ter Robson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Charles Giles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Jeffrey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Stuart McDaid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 minutes Dumbarton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin McCurrach who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on WhoDatSaints's corner Kevin McCurrach fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Charles Giles quite easily take care of the ball. Charles Giles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Jeffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute Jordan Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Giles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stuart McDaid hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, WhoDatSaints's Kevin McCurrach broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Jeffrey made a kick off. Calum Dunn struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Charles Giles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WhoDatSaints. Dumbarton's Charles Giles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Dumbarton from getting a goal against them. Duncan McRach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin King having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Dumbarton's Ter Robson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin King narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ter Robson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ter Robson struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Martin King didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dumbarton. After a rather tough play, WhoDatSaints's Calum Dunn got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute Duncan McRach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin King saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Marcus Jeffrey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WhoDatSaints's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dumbarton the free kick. 90 minutes into the match, WhoDatSaints's Jordan Lawrence sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Giles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcus Jeffrey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the WhoDatSaints players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dumbarton.
