Mike Harold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fergus Beaton having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, James Arthur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brunswick Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Livingston the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Brunswick Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Arthur to maneuver through the defense. Livingston's Lloyd Hill suffered a sore thigh after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. James Arthur kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. With his leg Fergus Beaton managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Livingston's Mike Harold fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Livingston's zone, Jay McCombe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Whannell came out of the goal and Jay McCombe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Greg Forrester fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Livingston's protests and gave Greg Forrester a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Livingston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greg Forrester to maneuver through the defense. Greg Forrester kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jay McCombe charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jay McCombe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jay McCombe hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Darren Wilkinson from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Fergus Beaton's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mike Harold got free with Fergus Beaton in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fergus Beaton made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Mike Harold sent off a good shot on target. Tyler McAdie charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyler McAdie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Tyler McAdie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Harold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Irvin French managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livingston's supporters rose to their feet, but Irvin French was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fergus Beaton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mike Harold stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Mike Harold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Livingston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Harold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Livingston's Irvin French got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Brunswick Rovers getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jay McCombe hit a great ball. Fergus Beaton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Harold in the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Mike Harold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livingston's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Harold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fergus Beaton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alisdair McRaith in the 64th minute of play forced Brunswick Rovers's goalkeeper Fergus Beaton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Anthony Davis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brunswick Rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Brunswick Rovers's Fergus Beaton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Harold in the 79th minute of play. If Mike Harold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fergus Beaton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Harold, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Mike Harold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Mike Harold had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fergus Beaton. Brunswick Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mike Harold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Livingston had played much better football throughout.
