An unexpectedly hard shot by Ter McQuisten in the 16th minute of play forced Annihilators's goalkeeper Ronnie Ferries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Annihilators's Ronnie Ferries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry McHutcheon in the 18th minute of play. Patrick McAdam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Crawley, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jason Bates kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Ter McQuisten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Johnstone SFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ter McQuisten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry McHutcheon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Ferries having to interfere. If Jonathan Crawley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Adam McHutcheon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th match minute, Annihilators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Abbott to maneuver through the defense. Ronnie Ferries took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry McHutcheon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ter McQuisten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Henry McHutcheon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ronnie Ferries was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry McHutcheon to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Henry McHutcheon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Johnstone SFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry McHutcheon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Ferries breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry McHutcheon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronnie Ferries was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henry McHutcheon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Ronnie Ferries made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Ter McQuisten sent off a good shot on target. Tam Davison kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Adam McHutcheon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ronnie Ferries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jonathan Crawley came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Annihilators fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Crawley couldn't finish the play. Annihilators's Ronnie Ferries proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Annihilators from getting a goal against them. Ter McQuisten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Ferries having to interfere. The supporters of Annihilators booed when Johnstone SFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Keene didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick McAdam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
