Derek Beresford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Adrian Forsyth came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Wolves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Forsyth couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Greg McVean made the kick off in the second half. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wolves FC's goalkeeper Derek Beresford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Wolves FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
