Jay McKean charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jay McKean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jay McKean hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Greig McFeat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Arbuckle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Barry Enrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Perth Frogs AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Taylor Lindsay hit a great ball. After 20 minutes, Lloyd Donnellson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perth Frogs AFC and the FC Drobeta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barry Enrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lloyd Donnellson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Guy Arbuckle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greig McFeat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connor Fergus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Enrick in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Jay McKean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Drobeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jay McKean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Guy Arbuckle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greig McFeat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Drobeta's Greig McFeat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Arbuckle in the 33rd minute of play. Connor Fergus made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Barry Enrick sent off a good shot on target. When Barry Enrick came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC Drobeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barry Enrick couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the game, Barry Enrick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Connor Fergus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guy Arbuckle to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Barry Enrick put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Connor Fergus. Connor Fergus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Enrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Barry Enrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Connor Fergus was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Bruce Thomson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Fergus having to interfere. Greig McFeat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Fair in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Lloyd Donnellson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Greig McFeat, 5-1. The supporters of FC Drobeta booed when Perth Frogs AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lloyd Donnellson didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Drobeta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
