After the first half Dundee United Football were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Barga FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Bradley McFergus scored to the left of an out of position Shane McFie, making the score, 0-2. The supporters of Barga FC booed when Dundee United Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair Eadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barga FC's Rupert McCall got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Neil Robb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darius Elliott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Neil Robb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
