Darius Elliott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finlay Campbell in the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Eyemouth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley McFergus came free, but Jimmy Devlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dundee United Football booed when Eyemouth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greig Monzie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Eyemouth FC's zone, Steve McGrath stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Devlin came out of the goal and Steve McGrath tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jimmy Devlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley McFergus in the 34th minute of the match. When Dundee United Football's James McAulay in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 38th minute Jonathan Combie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Devlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Bradley McFergus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmy Devlin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The wind increased when Bradley McFergus made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim McCook during the 51st minute. Jonathan Combie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmy Devlin having to make a save. After 60 played minutes Eyemouth FC got a freekick which was hit by Greig Monzie. With a little luck, Eyemouth FC's Jimmy Devlin got control of the ball when Tim McCook tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes of play Eyemouth FC's Greig Monzie was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some careless play in the Eyemouth FC defense, Tim McCook kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmy Devlin. The Eyemouth FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmy Devlin should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 72 in the game by Bradley McFergus from a close distance when the talented Jimmy Devlin managed to make a qualified save. Eyemouth FC's players were relieved. Dundee United Football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Combie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimmy Devlin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bradley McFergus's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Dundee United Football played a much better game than Eyemouth FC and deserved their victory. The Eyemouth FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
