In the 8th minute, Charles Kinnieson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Les Arrol was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Davie Yuill struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. David McGilvernock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TUCCI Football Club. In the 13th minute Brian McCririe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David McGilvernock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lewis Harold charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis Harold the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lewis Harold kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match Josh Murphy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Les Arrol skillfully saved the ball. Matt Crawley kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Westfield AFC's Thomas Howe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Les Arrol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Thomas Howe came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Westfield AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Howe couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Westfield AFC booed when TUCCI Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Harold didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in TUCCI Football Club's zone, Thomas Howe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Les Arrol came out of the goal and Thomas Howe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Westfield AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Howe to make the kick off. When Davie Yuill came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the TUCCI Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davie Yuill couldn't finish the play. Les Arrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Howe in the 57th minute of play. Davie Yuill might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David McGilvernock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davie Yuill ran back to his position shaking his head. David McGilvernock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian McCririe in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, TUCCI Football Club's goalkeeper Les Arrol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Kinnieson. After 76 played minutes TUCCI Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Matt Crawley. In the 78th play minute Charles Kinnieson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Les Arrol. 0-4. In the 80th minute, Kyle Sandison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Howe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 minutes, Alan McEachan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westfield AFC and the TUCCI Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Westfield AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alan McEachan hit a great ball. Thomas Howe struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Les Arrol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westfield AFC. Westfield AFC's Charles Kinnieson got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les Arrol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Kinnieson in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, TUCCI Football Club's Davie Yuill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David McGilvernock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Brian McCririe managed to get in a good position for a shot. TUCCI Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian McCririe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David McGilvernock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 97 played minutes Westfield AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lloyd Appleby. The Westfield AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Westfield AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
