Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lee McEwan started the match with the kick off. Alexander Bonar made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Iain McKay sent off a good shot on target. Iain McKay's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Alexander Bonar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iain McKay did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Alexander Bonar 9 minutes into the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Lee McEwan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wishaw's Nicky Polson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Guy Scott dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexander Bonar, 2-0. 18 minutes into the match, Great Britain LIONS FC's goalkeeper Alexander Bonar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iain McKay. After a rather tough play, Wishaw's Charlie Ronaldson got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes Great Britain LIONS FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Frew. In the 22nd minute of the match Drew Fisher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Bonar skillfully saved the ball. Guy Scott received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexander Bonar came out and tried to block the shot, but Guy Scott slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iain McKay got free with Alexander Bonar in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Lee McEwan sped through Wishaw's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicky Polson. Charlie Ronaldson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Samuel Frew made a precise shot to the right of Nicky Polson. Wishaw's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 36th minute Guy Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bonar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Great Britain LIONS FC's Alexander Bonar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Great Britain LIONS FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
The wind increased when Guy Scott made the kick off in the second half. Ryan Fowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Nicky Polson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicky Polson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee McEwan in the 52nd minute of the match. If Charlie McLea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Lee McEwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ryan Fowler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Great Britain LIONS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryan Fowler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Polson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Bonar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Scott in the 62nd minute of play. Nicky Polson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lee McEwan went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Matthew Gregory made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Great Britain LIONS FC's Malcolm McIvor. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee McEwan in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicky Polson saved Wishaw from getting behind. With a little luck, Wishaw's Nicky Polson got control of the ball when Ryan Fowler tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Stuart McQuhirr put in a rough tackle. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Great Britain LIONS FC! The referee gave Wishaw a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Drew Fisher, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Great Britain LIONS FC's Alexander Bonar. 4-3. Alexander Bonar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie McLea, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Sam Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sam Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ryan Fowler came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Great Britain LIONS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Fowler couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Sam Gray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malcolm McIvor's late challenge caught a Wishaw's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malcolm McIvor helped the player get up and apologised. Malcolm McIvor hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Alexander Bonar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Scott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Great Britain LIONS FC got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm McIvor. Alexander Bonar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Scott in the 92nd minute of play. Alexander Bonar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Scott, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Great Britain LIONS FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
