An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward McCorry in the 5th minute of play forced Thurso AFC's goalkeeper Dylan Ewart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thurso AFC's Gus Andrews got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sheperton FC's Taylor Rorison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Sheperton FC from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Jonathan McCammon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Ewart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Edward McCorry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheperton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward McCorry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dylan Ewart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keith McPhedran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Taylor Rorison made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Keith McPhedran sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Tyler McCrouther reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Taylor Rorison. The goal made the score 1-0. 26 minutes into the game, Munro Doig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thurso AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheperton FC the free kick. In the 26th minute, Munro Doig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan McCammon charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan McCammon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute Tyler McCrouther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taylor Rorison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Paddy McKendrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Munro Doig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Taylor Rorison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Tyler McCrouther blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Taylor Rorison having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Sheperton FC's Barry McLise got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sheperton FC's Taylor Rorison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyler McCrouther in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Keith McPhedran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thurso AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keith McPhedran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute Keith McPhedran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taylor Rorison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keith McPhedran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes, Ricky Lamondson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sheperton FC and the Thurso AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Thurso AFC booed when Sheperton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricky Lamondson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Tyler McCrouther left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thurso AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 75 minutes into the match, Sheperton FC's Edward McCorry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dylan Ewart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Sheperton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Keith McPhedran came free, but Taylor Rorison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan McCammon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Ewart having to interfere. When Patrick Brodie fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thurso AFC's protests and gave Patrick Brodie a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Thurso AFC's Patrick Brodie got a free kick in the 81st minute. Thurso AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
