After 5 played minutes Crazy Monks F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rob McKelloch. Crazy Monks F.C.'s Ross McSymon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Crazy Monks F.C. from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, Thurso AFC's Tyler McCrouther sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ross McSymon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Crazy Monks F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 14 minutes, Thurso AFC's Timothy Reidfurd got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ross McSymon. The supporters of Crazy Monks F.C. booed when Thurso AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Ambrose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crazy Monks F.C.'s Rob McKelloch couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Thurso AFC. Dylan Ewart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris King in the 25th minute of the match. Ross McSymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyler McCrouther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith McPhedran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Derek Corbet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rob McKelloch hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith McPhedran in the 60th minute of play forced Crazy Monks F.C.'s goalkeeper Ross McSymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keith McPhedran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ross McSymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Keith McPhedran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thurso AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler McCrouther in the 76th minute of play forced Crazy Monks F.C.'s goalkeeper Ross McSymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thurso AFC's Dylan Ewart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Corbet in the 78th minute of play. Ross McSymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler McCrouther in the 84th minute of play.
