In the 13th minute Shaun McAdam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan McAchounich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, George Basnett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luke Harold during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute of the match Marcus Armstrong sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nathan McAchounich skillfully saved the ball. Jacob King kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Shaun McAdam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Nathan McAchounich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob King charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacob King the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Jacob King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Bontein kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Fraser McSorley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob King in the 35th minute of play. Finlay Caw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jacob King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Kevin McNey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dalmally's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ventnor the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dalmally's Kevin McNey got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob King in the 66th minute of play forced Ventnor's goalkeeper Fraser McSorley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes, George Basnett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dalmally and the Ventnor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dalmally's Jacob King managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Shaun McAdam in the 73 minute of the game. Ben Bontein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Finlay Caw came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Ventnor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Finlay Caw couldn't finish the play. Colin Boyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fraser McSorley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colin Boyle in the 85th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Shaun McAdam in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dalmally's Jacob King. In the 91st minute, Jacob King made a precise shot to the right of Fraser McSorley. Ventnor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ventnor succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Dalmally had controlled the match.
