The Culbokie AC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Culbokie AC's Rick McFall looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Wal Cleland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Evan Scott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Timmy Balloch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ardrossan's goalkeeper Alex Roberts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sid Morrison charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sid Morrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sid Morrison hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes, Roy Aird mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Culbokie AC and the Ardrossan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roy Aird kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ardrossan's Jordan Gow got a free kick in the 25th minute. Alisdair Duffy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jordan McCansh in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Ardrossan booed when Culbokie AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wal Cleland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timmy Balloch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Roberts having to interfere. After the first half Culbokie AC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rick McFall made a kick off. Timmy Balloch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alex Roberts made a huge save. Alex Roberts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rick McFall in the 59th minute of the match. Timmy Balloch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alex Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timmy Balloch scored 0-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Roberts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Timmy Balloch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alex Roberts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alex Roberts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick McFall, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a little luck, Ardrossan's Alex Roberts got control of the ball when Timmy Balloch tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Culbokie AC's Rick McFall, in the 85th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Culbokie AC. When Nicol McKinney was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Timmy Balloch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With an all-out effort, Culbokie AC's Alex Roberts threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rick McFall, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Culbokie AC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
