Spectators: 8153 (Terracing: 6116, Seating: 1875, VIP seats: 162) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. David Malloch started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Innes Ogilvy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HOOTERS AFC and the Colintraive players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes HOOTERS AFC got a freekick which was hit by Innes Ogilvy. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Gallie in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrew McAchounich saved HOOTERS AFC from getting behind. HOOTERS AFC's Andrew McAchounich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colin Colquhoun in the 9th minute of play. Andrew McAchounich came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Colintraive's Danny Gallie. But to his dismay, Danny Gallie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Colintraive's Ray Ellwood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Colintraive from getting a goal against them. In the 18thth minute of the game Danny Gallie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HOOTERS AFC's Andrew McAchounich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes HOOTERS AFC got a freekick which was hit by Innes Ogilvy. Colin Colquhoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew McAchounich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colin Colquhoun in the 26th minute of play. HOOTERS AFC's Andrew McAchounich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colin Colquhoun in the 36th minute of play. Colin Colquhoun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Andrew McAchounich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Malloch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Ellwood having to interfere. After the first half Colintraive were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd match minute, Colintraive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean McSporran to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in HOOTERS AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! HOOTERS AFC's Nicol Coutts got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ray Ellwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Malloch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Colintraive's goal looked a bit too open when Shaun McEwan came free, but Ray Ellwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in HOOTERS AFC's zone, Colin Colquhoun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrew McAchounich came out of the goal and Colin Colquhoun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Colintraive's Sean McSporran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrew McAchounich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Danny Gallie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colintraive's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Gallie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Danny Gallie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colintraive's Ray Ellwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Malloch in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Nicol Coutts managed to get in a good position for a shot. HOOTERS AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicol Coutts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ray Ellwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. HOOTERS AFC's Andrew McAchounich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Gallie in the 90th minute of play. Colintraive's Danny Gallie got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Colin Colquhoun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colintraive's supporters rose to their feet, but Colin Colquhoun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew McAchounich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th play minute Colin Colquhoun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Andrew McAchounich. 0-3. Colintraive's Colin Colquhoun got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Colintraive supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colintraive would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
