Walter Wylie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aidan Bunten in the 16th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Mallaig's goalkeeper David Stenhouse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Wilkie. The audience was convinced that Matthew Wilkie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Stenhouse was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After 27 played minutes Mallaig got a freekick which was hit by Aidan Bunten. In the 30th minute, Matthew Wilkie made a precise shot to the right of David Stenhouse. Mallaig's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Matthew Wilkie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, David Stenhouse skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Norman Boyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. David Stenhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Norman Boyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Scott McNeiledge to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Matthew Wilkie made a precise shot to the right of David Stenhouse. Mallaig's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A collision led to Mallaig getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Brandon Bontein hit a great ball. Norman Boyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Stenhouse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes St.Mirren got a freekick which was hit by Edmond McInnes. Walter Wylie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scott McNeiledge in the 59th minute. 64 minutes into the game, one of Mallaig:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Matthew Wilkie kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Mallaig's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Wilkie came free, but David Stenhouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, St.Mirren's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Bontein came free, but Walter Wylie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Munro McCombie charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Munro McCombie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of St.Mirren booed when Mallaig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Munro McCombie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Wylie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Munro McCombie in the 90th minute of the match. Walter Wylie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Munro McCombie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. St.Mirren's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
