Spectators: 6943 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 0) Luke McKellar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute Lloyd Lambie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Low saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stevie Low showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lloyd Lambie, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Sam McTaggart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to AC Holmavik getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marcus Corrie hit a great ball. After 45 minutes AC Holmavik's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paddy Dean who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Wick's Paddy Dean to fire away a dangerous shot which Stevie Low despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 46 minutes, Norman Murphy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Holmavik and the Wick players grew even worse after the yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lloyd Lambie in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie Low prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, AC Holmavik's Marc Davidson got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Wick's Kenneth Beadle got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Wick's Stephen McCartair made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stevie Low was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stevie Low showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen McCartair in the 74th minute of the match. Stevie Low made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd Lambie in the 75th minute of play. Ronnie Frew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke McKellar in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Luke McKellar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Frew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen McCartair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Stevie Low tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stephen McCartair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Wick booed when AC Holmavik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Davidson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lloyd Lambie in the 89th minute of play forced AC Holmavik's goalkeeper Stevie Low to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stephen McCartair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Low having to interfere. AC Holmavik's Stevie Low played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lloyd Lambie in the 98th minute of play.
