Richard Fostar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Scott McMurdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Stonehaven United's Marc McNuir tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Edmond McInnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. St.Mirren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stonehaven United the free kick. Edmond McInnes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Walter Wylie was a little too slow when Alan McNiter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Walter Wylie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan McNiter in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, St.Mirren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott McMurdo to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 68th minute, Rupert Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Scott McMurdo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, St.Mirren's Kenny Burns got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Stonehaven United were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing St.Mirren to leave the ground with a draw.
