Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chris Raith kicked off to start the match. Ballygrant's Roddie McSimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Raith in the 3rd minute of play. Roddie McSimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taylor McKerracher's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Taylor McKerracher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roddie McSimon having to make a save. After 39 played minutes Ballygrant got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Crossley. Keith Fraser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roddie McSimon having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stewart Tarrill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roddie McSimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Raith in the 51st minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Taylor McKerracher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Roddie McSimon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Raith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Roddie McSimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roddie McSimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keith Fraser in the 72nd minute of the match. Ballygrant's Roddie McSimon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ballygrant from getting a goal against them. Keith Fraser scored 0-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roddie McSimon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th match minute, Clydebank was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith Fraser to maneuver through the defense. Roddie McSimon made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Taylor McKerracher sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Clydebank's Keith Fraser ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roddie McSimon. Roddie McSimon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clydebank had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
