In the 17th minute Brandon Bontein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gus Appleton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mallaig's David Stenhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Carr in the 24th minute of play. If Anthony McPhun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beith's Tony McVurich managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Munro McCombie in the 28 minute of the game. Scott McNeiledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tony McVurich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Lucas Carr dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Stenhouse, 1-0. David Stenhouse made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Tony McVurich sent off a good shot on target. Aidan Bunten hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony McVurich to make the kick off. Gus Appleton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Bontein in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Beith was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevie McQuisten to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes in the game, Brandon Bontein fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gus Appleton having to interfere. Gus Appleton was a little too slow when Brandon Bontein got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 69th minute, Brandon Bontein made a precise shot to the right of Gus Appleton. Beith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Mallaig getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Munro McCombie hit a great ball. After 76 played minutes Beith got a freekick which was hit by Tony McVurich. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Gus Appleton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony McVurich in the 87th minute of play forced Mallaig's goalkeeper David Stenhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mallaig getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Aidan Bunten hit a great ball. Chants of Mallaig echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Beith had held the ball for most of the match.
