Spectators: 6935 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Liam McCluskie took the kick off in the first half of the match. David Stenhouse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam McCluskie in the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Garve booed when Mallaig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lloyd Lawrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin McNab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Munro McCombie in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Scott McNeiledge made a precise shot to the right of Benjamin McNab. Garve's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Gavin McKelloch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garve's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mallaig the free kick. In the 17th minute, Gavin McKelloch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Munro McCombie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin McNab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Munro McCombie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Stenhouse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam McCluskie, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lloyd Lawrie kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Liam McCluskie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garve's supporters rose to their feet, but Liam McCluskie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Stenhouse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Munro McCombie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mallaig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Munro McCombie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Stenhouse acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bob Comine.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Scott McNeiledge was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Mallaig's zone, Liam McCluskie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Stenhouse came out of the goal and Liam McCluskie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nicholas McMurrich fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garve's protests and gave Nicholas McMurrich a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Garve getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Liam McCluskie hit a great ball. Scott McNeiledge's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benjamin McNab firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Gavin McKelloch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rob Limont took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Stenhouse. David Stenhouse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 77 played minutes Mallaig got a freekick which was hit by Jordan Buchanan. Liam McCluskie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Stenhouse having to make a save. Gavin McKelloch kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Munro McCombie might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin McNab. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Munro McCombie ran back to his position shaking his head. If Scott McNeiledge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mallaig were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
