Richard Fostar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Carr in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graeme Carr in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Fostar saved Stonehaven United from getting behind. The supporters of Stromness booed when Stonehaven United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Nixon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lee McKellaigh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Fostar prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
