Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Luke McKellar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 8 minutes, Bruce Russell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Holmavik and the Stromness players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruce Russell kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After some careless play in the AC Holmavik defense, Graeme Carr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stevie Low. The AC Holmavik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stevie Low should have stopped the shot. After 18 minutes of play AC Holmavik's Bruce Russell was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 18th match minute, AC Holmavik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Russell to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Fergus Lecky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stromness's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fergus Lecky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AC Holmavik's zone, Graeme Carr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevie Low came out of the goal and Graeme Carr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Luke McKellar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fergus Lecky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Paul Mavor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stevie Low made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Carr in the 31st minute of play. Graeme Carr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Graeme Carr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam McTaggart got free with Nicol Burnes in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fergus Lecky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Graeme Carr was the one to do the kick off. Lee McKellaigh kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Fergus Lecky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicol Burnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam McTaggart in the 57th minute of play. Fergus Lecky hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. It was a well-played corner which Lee McKellaigh managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 65th minute, Fergus Lecky got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Stromness's Steven Barns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stevie Low made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Stromness's Fergus Lecky got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fergus Lecky's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stevie Low read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Graeme Carr fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 79th minute, AC Holmavik's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Graeme Carr fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 86th minute, Rupert Nelson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Graeme Carr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Low having to interfere. Graeme Carr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
