After some careless play in the Keltic Academy defense, Rick McEachern kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Hunter. The Keltic Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Hunter should have stopped the shot. Rick McEachern struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Luke Hunter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avoch. Kenny Wharrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Luke Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wayne Cooke during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wayne Cooke kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Keltic Academy getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Will Crombie hit a great ball. After 15th play minutes Kenny Wharrie shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Luke Hunter and just under the crossbar into goal. Rick McEachern charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rick McEachern the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rick McEachern scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Hunter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rick McEachern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Keltic Academy's Will Crombie got a free kick in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Lucas Ainslie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sean Elliott. Lucas Ainslie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Hamish Combie's late challenge caught a Avoch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamish Combie helped the player get up and apologised. Hamish Combie kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Luke Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rick McEachern in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Ainslie to strike the kick off in the second half. Sean Elliott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Ainslie, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Will Crombie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Elliott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greg Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamish Combie hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Keltic Academy's goalkeeper Luke Hunter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rick McEachern got free with Luke Hunter in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kenny Wharrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Hunter having to interfere. In the 90th minute Kenny Wharrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Hunter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Keltic Academy's Will Crombie made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sean Elliott was left in no man's land by his defense there! The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
