Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Douglas Burk took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 played minutes Cromarty got a freekick which was hit by Adam McBeolain. Cromarty's Malcolm Ingram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Inches in the 10th minute of play. Connor McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyler Fox charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyler Fox the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Inverness AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Fox. A collision led to Cromarty getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Douglas Burk hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Cromarty's Jimmy McCansh threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Douglas Burk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jimmy McCansh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Burk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Douglas Burk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy McCansh was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Malcolm Ingram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Bates, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Elliot Bates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malcolm Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyler Fox in the 33rd minute of the match. Malcolm Ingram didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elliot Bates went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the game, Charles Inches cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Malcolm Ingram was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute of the match Ivan McCrain shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Malcolm Ingram showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Malcolm Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Gilbert in the 46th minute of play. Charles Inches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charles Inches to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Cromarty's goalkeeper Malcolm Ingram had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliot Bates. In the 56th minute Charles Inches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Inverness AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Burk came free, but Jimmy McCansh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 played minutes Inverness AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Fox. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick McIldowie in the 61st minute of play forced Inverness AFC's goalkeeper Jimmy McCansh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy McCansh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Burk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Connor McLardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jimmy McCansh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cromarty's goalkeeper Malcolm Ingram, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Douglas Burk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malcolm Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Inches in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match, Elliot Bates got a very nice opportunity to score, but Malcolm Ingram was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cromarty's Malcolm Ingram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyler Fox in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Connor McLardy notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Inverness AFC's Jimmy McCansh. Jimmy McCansh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Will Cochrane kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Connor McLardy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Inverness AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
