The supporters of Ellon booed when Keltic Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Ronald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joshua Alcorn hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Patrick McLea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Luke Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronan McCune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Ainslie, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Keltic Academy's goalkeeper Luke Hunter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick McLea. Keltic Academy's Luke Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant McBurie in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Keltic Academy's zone, Terence McCamie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Hunter came out of the goal and Terence McCamie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Patrick McLea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Patrick McLea could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Luke Hunter however easily saved by the left post. Ellon's Ronan McCune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamish Combie in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Keltic Academy's Hamish Combie got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

Greg Wilson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Keltic Academy's Luke Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick McLea in the 56th minute of play. Greg Wilson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Grant McBurie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant McBurie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Keltic Academy's zone, Grant McBurie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Hunter came out of the goal and Grant McBurie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Grant McBurie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick McLea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Will Crombie scored 0-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronan McCune, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick McLea in the 86th minute of play forced Keltic Academy's goalkeeper Luke Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keltic Academy's Luke Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick McLea in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ellon's zone, Hamish Combie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronan McCune came out of the goal and Hamish Combie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ellon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Keltic Academy's performance. The match ended with a win for Keltic Academy.
