Spectators: 6936 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 0) Chris Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ter McLeay in the 4th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Highland Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Ter McLeay came free, but Chris Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Highland Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Eddie McGaw. In the 23rd minute of the match Jason Addison sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chris Mark skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Invergarry AFC booed when Highland Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Cunningham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ter McLeay in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chris Mark prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Greg McConochie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greg McConochie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Miles Munn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Greg McConochie came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Highland Warriors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg McConochie couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute of the match Keith McLeay sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miles Munn skillfully saved the ball. Greg McConochie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Invergarry AFC defense, Alan Cunningham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miles Munn. The Invergarry AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miles Munn should have stopped the shot. Greg McConochie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miles Munn having to interfere. Greg McConochie struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Miles Munn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Highland Warriors. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute of the match Invergarry AFC got a corner. Highland Warriors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jason Addison ran over to the corner to take the kick. Highland Warriors's Chris Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ter McLeay in the 56th minute of play. Greg McConochie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greg McConochie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Miles Munn made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, William McAlduie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Highland Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Taylor McBeath came free, but Chris Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Taylor McBeath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Mark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ter McLeay in the 77th minute of play. Ivan Crombie hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Highland Warriors's Greg McConochie was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Miles Munn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg McConochie in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Alan Cunningham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Highland Warriors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Invergarry AFC throughout the match.
