Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Phil Dobbie took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Alva's Phil Dobbie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chris Mark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenny Haws in the 10th minute of play forced Highland Warriors's goalkeeper Chris Mark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alva's Aaron McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugh McCosram in the 11th minute of play. When Alva's Kenny Haws in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Highland Warriors's goalie prevented a goal. Phil Dobbie struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Chris Mark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alva. In the 19th match minute, Highland Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh McCosram to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Phil Dobbie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Mark was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Declan Gallie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aaron McIan having to make a save. Phil Dobbie took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chris Mark. Chris Mark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nicol McCuag hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Hugh McCosram's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron McIan was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The supporters of Highland Warriors booed when Alva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Barbour didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugh McCosram to strike the kick off in the second half. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Declan Gallie in the 57th minute of play. Aaron McIan came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Highland Warriors's Hugh McCosram. But to his dismay, Hugh McCosram quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Wal McLairish kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Phil Dobbie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenny Haws in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chris Mark, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chris Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phil Dobbie in the 75th minute of play. If Phil Dobbie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Phil Dobbie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chris Mark. Phil Dobbie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh McCosram in the 90th minute of play. Hugh McCosram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron McIan having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alva walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
