Spectators: 6934 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Keltic Academy's zone, Fraser Cariston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Hunter came out of the goal and Fraser Cariston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 4 minutes into the game, Barry McClure was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilbirnie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keltic Academy the free kick. Kilbirnie's Wally Crum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Will Crombie in the 7th minute of play. The Keltic Academy fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Keltic Academy's Lucas Ainslie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the game, Hamish Combie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Keltic Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilbirnie the free kick. After a rather tough play, Keltic Academy's Hamish Combie got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Kilbirnie's Willie McGruer in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Keltic Academy's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Keltic Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Willie McGruer came free, but Luke Hunter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luke Hunter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie McGruer, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Lucas Ainslie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Ainslie in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wally Crum saved Kilbirnie from getting behind. A collision led to Kilbirnie getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Troy McKellachie hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Will Crombie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Crombie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Wally Crum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wally Crum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Crombie in the 62nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Wally Crum successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fraser Cariston in the 67th minute of play forced Keltic Academy's goalkeeper Luke Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Troy McKellachie kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 73 played minutes, Keltic Academy's Nick Roberts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wally Crum came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Keltic Academy reached it. Lucas Ainslie's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wally Crum firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wally Crum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Crombie in the 77th minute of play. When Troy McKellachie fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilbirnie's protests and gave Troy McKellachie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Troy McKellachie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fraser Cariston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Hunter having to interfere. Wally Crum made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Lucas Ainslie sent off a good shot on target. Lucas Ainslie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wally Crum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Luke Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willie McGruer in the 89th minute of the match. After 92nd play minutes Lucas Ainslie shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Wally Crum and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match was over Keltic Academy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kilbirnie throughout the match.
