Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nick McIldowie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Mark Hawson made a huge save. In the 7th minute Douglas Burk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Hawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick McIldowie in the 8th minute of play forced Lairg's goalkeeper Mark Hawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Cromarty's Connor McLardy made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mark Hawson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Cromarty's goal looked a bit too open when Grant McLeverty came free, but Malcolm Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Hawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Burk in the 21st minute of play. Mark Hawson made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nick McIldowie sent off a good shot on target. Lairg's Mark Hawson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Lairg from getting a goal against them. Malcolm Ingram took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremy Isles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lairg's Mark Hawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick McIldowie in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Douglas Burk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Hawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Lairg's Mark Hawson got control of the ball when Nick McIldowie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Malcolm Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant McLeverty in the 39th minute of the match. When Connor McLardy fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cromarty's protests and gave Connor McLardy a yellow card for diving instead. Connor McLardy hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Nick McIldowie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mark Hawson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grant McLeverty to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Lairg got a freekick which was hit by Stuart McKellaigh. After a rather tough play, Lairg's Grant McLeverty got a free kick in the 55th minute. Douglas Burk took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mark Hawson. Mark Hawson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mark Hawson came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Cromarty's Nick McIldowie. But to his dismay, Nick McIldowie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Mark Hawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick McIldowie, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jeremy Isles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Malcolm Ingram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greig Robison in the 75th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lairg's Greig Robison slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Malcolm Ingram. That made the score 4-1 after 77 minutes of play. Malcolm Ingram made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremy Isles in the 80th minute. In the 86th minute Douglas Burk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Hawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Hawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick McIldowie in the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Connor McLardy came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
