Reece McFergus helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lairg booed when Invergarry AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reece McFergus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Invergarry AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Greig Robison came free, but Miles Munn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Hawson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Crombie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the game, Ter McLeay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mark Hawson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miles Munn made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Grant McLeverty sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd match minute, Invergarry AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reece McFergus to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match, Greig Robison tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miles Munn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 28 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Taylor McBeath came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ter McLeay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lairg's Stuart McKellaigh got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A hard shot by Jason Addison from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Mark Hawson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Grant McLeverty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute.
