Simon McChoiter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy McIan, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Barry Gilbert notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pure dead brilliant team's Simon McChoiter. Simon McChoiter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pure dead brilliant team's Simon McChoiter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Buchan in the 10th minute of play. Aaron McPhedran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Arthur Barns made a huge save. Nicholas Aspin took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon McChoiter. Simon McChoiter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 30th minute Barry Gilbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon McChoiter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glasgow Rangers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lloyd McHutcheon in the 31st minute. Glasgow Rangers FC's Lloyd McHutcheon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Simon McChoiter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arthur Barns was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Duncan Scotland capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duncan Scotland really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Pure dead brilliant team's Simon McChoiter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy McIan in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Pure dead brilliant team's goal looked a bit too open when Guy McIan came free, but Simon McChoiter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute Guy McIan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon McChoiter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Glasgow Rangers FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duncan Scotland to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pure dead brilliant team's Max McIvor got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Samuel McCaskill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pure dead brilliant team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glasgow Rangers FC the free kick. In the 54th minute, Samuel McCaskill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Guy McIan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simon McChoiter. That made the score 1-3 in the 58 minute of play. Vincent Huntly kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Barry Gilbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon McChoiter was a little too slow when Barry Gilbert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-4. After 74 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Ben Buchan. Nicholas Aspin struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Simon McChoiter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasgow Rangers FC. Barry Gilbert took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon McChoiter. Simon McChoiter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. 87 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron McPhedran came free, but Arthur Barns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duncan Scotland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Arthur Barns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Glasgow Rangers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Glasgow Rangers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
