A collision led to Keith United getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nicholas McLerie hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Keith United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ronnie Porter fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ricky McGillivour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel McKellaig kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jaguar FC's zone, Ricky McGillivour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joe Dempster came out of the goal and Ricky McGillivour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricky McGillivour might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joe Dempster. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricky McGillivour ran back to his position shaking his head. Iain Broom might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joe Dempster. After 42 played minutes, Keith United's Willie Frissell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joe Dempster came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Keith United reached it. Iain Broom struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Joe Dempster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keith United. Douglas Broom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Forsyth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Iain Broom made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jaguar FC's Samuel McKellaig got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Willie Frissell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joe Dempster skillfully saved the ball. If Ricky McGillivour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iain Broom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Dempster having to interfere. Iain Broom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joe Dempster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iain Broom in the 73rd minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Iain Broom rounded Jaguar FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. The Jaguar FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Keith United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
