Jaguar FC's Joe Dempster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry McFie in the 25th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Jaguar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Harry McFie came free, but Joe Dempster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian McCabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Forsyth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Greusach kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derek McMillan during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, ARBROATH FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek McMillan to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harry McFie was the one to do the kick off.
