No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Les McCaa to strike the kick off in the second half. Romão Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Lamont having to interfere. Andy Lennie kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Rory Lombard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stephen Lamont. Stromness's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Les McCaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. Andy Lennie hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Darius Robison came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Athletic Hearts fans jumped to their feet.
