Ben McCrae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Elliott in the 5th minute of the match. Graeme Elliott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With 10 minutes on the clock, Euan Basnett commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Golspie! In the 11th minute, Eddie McLaverty made a precise shot to the right of James Elliott. Golspie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Josh Hawes charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josh Hawes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Golspie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josh Hawes to maneuver through the defense. Martin McPhun struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. James Elliott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Auchterarder Raiders. After a defensive mix-up in Golspie's zone, Martin McPhun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Elliott came out of the goal and Martin McPhun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry McCaishe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. James Elliott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Auchterarder Raiders booed when Golspie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Hawes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Auchterarder Raiders's Eddie McLaverty took a good shot, in the 24th minute, which hit the crossbar above James Elliott's head, and flew over the goal. Golspie's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Auchterarder Raiders. Ben McCrae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold McPhater in the 28th minute of play. Harry McCaishe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Elliott having to interfere. A collision led to Auchterarder Raiders getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Harry McCaishe hit a great ball. If Harry McCaishe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Harry McCaishe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but James Elliott was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Harry McCaishe made the kick off in the second half. If Graeme McGaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graeme Elliott during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Golspie getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Graeme Elliott hit a great ball. Harry McCaishe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. James Elliott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Martin McPhun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Auchterarder Raiders's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin McPhun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Elliott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Harry McCaishe put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of James Elliott. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Harold McPhater managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golspie's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold McPhater was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben McCrae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harry McCaishe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Elliott having to interfere. Graeme McGaw blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without James Elliott having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jason Sinclair during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Golspie booed when Auchterarder Raiders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Sinclair didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Elliott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry McCaishe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Auchterarder Raiders's Harry McCaishe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that James Elliott narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Harry McCaishe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but James Elliott was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the match, Auchterarder Raiders's goalkeeper Ben McCrae had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harold McPhater. In the 91st match minute, Auchterarder Raiders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie McLaverty to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Auchterarder Raiders fully deserved thier win.
