Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nick McDonachie got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Duffy. After 4 played minutes Perth got a freekick which was hit by Danny Baxter. 6 minutes into the match, Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quentin McIlreach. In the 11th minute Dundee Rovers were awarded a corner. Oliver McIlvride went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Dundee Rovers's Oliver McIlvride to fire away a dangerous shot which Tyler Graham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gus Simpson during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Gus Simpson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Nick McDonachie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyler Graham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Dundee Rovers got a freekick which was hit by William McJames. Perth's Cameron Gilfillan got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Oliver McIlvride made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Perth's Tyler Graham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tyler Graham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gus Simpson went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 0-3 became the score in the 28th minute when Oliver McIlvride elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nick McDonachie took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tyler Graham. Tyler Graham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Tyler Graham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick McDonachie in the 43rd minute of the match. Gus Simpson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyler Graham having to interfere. Tyler Graham came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Dundee Rovers's Oliver McIlvride. But to his dismay, Oliver McIlvride quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cameron Gilfillan made a kick off. Tyler Graham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver McIlvride, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Perth's Tyler Graham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver McIlvride in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Oliver McIlvride shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyler Graham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Perth booed when Dundee Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. William McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Currie took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brandon Borthwick. Brandon Borthwick dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. If Oliver McIlvride had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Perth got a freekick which was hit by Connor Bartholomew. Johnny Currie charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnny Currie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes Perth got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Currie. Nick McDonachie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tyler Graham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nick McDonachie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tyler Graham was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. The supporters of Dundee Rovers booed when Perth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Duffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Nick McDonachie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brandon Borthwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Duffy, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Quentin McIlreach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brandon Borthwick. Dundee Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quentin McIlreach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. The Dundee Rovers supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dundee Rovers would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
