Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hamish Murdoson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Hamish Murdoson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean McEoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quentin Meine charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quentin Meine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hamish Murdoson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Sean McEoin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamish Murdoson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean McEoin having to interfere. Richard Frizell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Meine in the 26th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Stirling's Les Buntain slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Richard Frizell. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Mark Dingwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Richard Frizell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Iona's Richard Frizell got control of the ball when Rory Williamson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Iona's goalkeeper Richard Frizell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rory Williamson. In the 38th minute, one of Iona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Iona. The goalkeeper, Richard Frizell, was totally fooled by Stirling's Sean McHardy, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Dingwall got free with Richard Frizell in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 46 in the game by Gareth Hawes from a close distance when the talented Richard Frizell managed to make a qualified save. Iona's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Les Buntain to make the kick off. Richard Frizell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Les Buntain in the 51st minute of the match. Richard Frizell came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stirling's Les Buntain. But to his dismay, Les Buntain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Dingwall in the 56th minute of play forced Iona's goalkeeper Richard Frizell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Dingwall scored 5-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Frizell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 64 minutes, Taylor Coulson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iona and the Stirling players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Iona getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Taylor Coulson hit a great ball. Richard Frizell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Hawes in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Iona's Taylor Coulson got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Gareth Hawes made a precise shot to the right of Richard Frizell. Iona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 75 minutes into the match, Iona's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Williamson came free, but Richard Frizell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Stirling's Rory Williamson made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Frizell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mark Dingwall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Stirling's Quentin Meine got a free kick in the 86th minute. Richard Frizell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Dingwall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Stirling getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gregor McKichan hit a great ball. When Sean McHardy fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stirling's protests and gave Sean McHardy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, one of Stirling:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stirling. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Iona's Raymond Lonie got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sean McEoin.
