In the 7th minute, Joe Reid sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dragons Academy's Iain Hawes didn't even have to move. 9 minutes into the match, Dragons Academy's goalkeeper Iain Hawes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddie Vennerberg. 11 minutes into the match, The North Face's goal looked a bit too open when Les McFarlane came free, but Burhanettin Berkkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The North Face's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joe Reid in the 15th minute. Iain Hawes was a little too slow when Roy Fair got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Vinny McNamell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, The North Face's Qiao Yue got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Terry McCay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burhanettin Berkkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes The North Face's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Max McRaith who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Dragons Academy's corner Max McRaith fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Burhanettin Berkkan quite easily take care of the ball. In the 28th minute Joshua Cumming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iain Hawes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burhanettin Berkkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Les McFarlane, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Les McFarlane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Burhanettin Berkkan was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Joshua Cumming took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iain Hawes. Iain Hawes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 40th minute Eric McIssac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burhanettin Berkkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match Dragons Academy got a corner. The North Face's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Max McRaith ran over to the corner to take the kick. Iain Hawes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddie Vennerberg in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Cumming in the 45th minute of play forced Dragons Academy's goalkeeper Iain Hawes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Eric McIssac left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dragons Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Les McFarlane to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Les McFarlane got free with Burhanettin Berkkan in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iain Hawes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Cumming in the 56th minute of play. Eric McIssac blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Burhanettin Berkkan having to make a save. After 61 minutes, Max McRaith mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dragons Academy and the The North Face players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Dragons Academy got a freekick which was hit by Max McRaith. The North Face's Joe Reid couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dragons Academy. Joshua Cumming might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iain Hawes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joshua Cumming ran back to his position shaking his head. Iain Hawes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinny McNamell went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 75 played minutes The North Face got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Vennerberg. In the 76th minute, Joshua Cumming hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iain Hawes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sun Xing Jian in the 79th minute of the match. After 79 minutes, Joshua Cumming made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dragons Academy's Iain Hawes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Eric McIssac came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Dragons Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric McIssac couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Cumming in the 91st minute of play forced Dragons Academy's goalkeeper Iain Hawes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of The North Face booed when Dragons Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Fyfe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Vinny McNamell notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Dragons Academy's Iain Hawes. Iain Hawes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dragons Academy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
