Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 24th minute, Jack Purcell made a precise shot to the right of Quentin Coulthart. Ryde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronnie Wallace got free with Owen Jones in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Owen Jones was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Joe Bontine capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joe Bontine really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Owen Jones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Bontine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes, Richard Taggart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oban and the Ryde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oban's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joe Bontine 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Purcell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oban's Oliver Williamson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryde's Gordon Foristar got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Owen Jones came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Ryde's Tyler Stark. But to his dismay, Tyler Stark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 62nd minute, Gordon Foristar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Oban was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Declan McPhater to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ryde's Quentin Coulthart got control of the ball when Jack Purcell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oban's Jack Purcell was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Calum McKee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oban's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ryde the free kick. After 70 played minutes Oban got a freekick which was hit by Calum McKee. Owen Jones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Bontine in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Purcell in the 77th minute of play forced Ryde's goalkeeper Quentin Coulthart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Ryde's goalkeeper Quentin Coulthart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Purcell. Oliver Williamson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Coulthart having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Stephen McIlzegowie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Oliver Williamson fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oban's protests and gave Oliver Williamson a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Oban got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Williamson. 91 minutes into the match, Ryde's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Williamson came free, but Quentin Coulthart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oban's Owen Jones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Foristar in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ryde could leave the field as winners, despite Oban having more of the ball for most of the match.
