Eric McIssac was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Dragons Academy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Keith Abbott stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric McIssac's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Davie Dyson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Les McFarlane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Biggar of the North getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Davie Dyson hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Les McFarlane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keith Abbott. After 45 played minutes Dragons Academy got a freekick which was hit by Eric McIssac. Keith Abbott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric McIssac in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Les McFarlane was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Les McFarlane in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keith Abbott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conor Lawrie took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keith Abbott. Keith Abbott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 59th minute, Sam Carrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grant Gordon kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Davie Dyson's late challenge caught a Dragons Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davie Dyson helped the player get up and apologised. Davie Dyson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Keith Abbott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Les McFarlane in the 72nd minute of play. Les Gilbert hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Keith Abbott came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Dragons Academy's Eric McIssac. But to his dismay, Eric McIssac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 88th minute, Les McFarlane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dragons Academy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
