In the 9th match minute, Dunnottar Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Abbot to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Craig Duthie notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dunnottar Athletic's Ricky Hewitt. Ricky Hewitt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricky Hewitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paddy McBain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, William Gardiner took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Andrew Combie to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Jo&Jo ™ booed when Dunnottar Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Dunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Jo&Jo ™'s Andrew Combie got control of the ball when Roddie McVicar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Craig Duthie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jo&Jo ™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Craig Duthie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ter McGillivour kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Les Gillies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Jo&Jo ™'s goalkeeper Andrew Combie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Larry Fair. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paddy McBain to strike the kick off in the second half. Dunnottar Athletic's Ricky Hewitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Dunnottar Athletic from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute, Jo&Jo ™'s Paddy McBain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricky Hewitt. Ricky Hewitt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Larry Fair struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Andrew Combie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunnottar Athletic. In the 64th minute Roddie McVicar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Combie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Hewitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry McAllan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roddie McVicar might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrew Combie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roddie McVicar ran back to his position shaking his head. After 73 minutes, Roddie McVicar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunnottar Athletic and the Jo&Jo ™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dunnottar Athletic's Roddie McVicar got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute of the match Paul Findlater sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricky Hewitt skillfully saved the ball. Ricky Hewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry McAllan in the 79th minute of the match. Ricky Hewitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Craig Duthie in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Dunn in the 88th minute of play forced Jo&Jo ™'s goalkeeper Andrew Combie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Steven Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Combie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Larry Fair struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Andrew Combie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunnottar Athletic. Andrew Combie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Dunn in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jo&Jo ™ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
