Colin Booth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Graeme McRobie's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Graeme Gordon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Colin Booth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phillip McKeochan in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colin Booth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Graeme Gordon came free, but Colin Booth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phillip McKeochan in the 15th minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Colin Booth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gavião Kyikatejê's zone, Phillip McKeochan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colin Booth came out of the goal and Phillip McKeochan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Graeme Gordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Colin Booth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Smiddy Celts's Paddy Thomson got a free kick in the 25th minute. Gavião Kyikatejê's Colin Booth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip McKeochan in the 27th minute of play. After 29th play minutes Phillip McKeochan shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Colin Booth and just under the crossbar into goal. Graeme McRobie scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colin Booth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Colin Booth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip McKeochan in the 36th minute of play. After 38 played minutes, Gavião Kyikatejê's Bob McMillan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jesse McJames came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gavião Kyikatejê reached it. Innes McWalter kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Gavião Kyikatejê got a freekick which was hit by Innes McWalter.

After 58 played minutes Smiddy Celts got a freekick which was hit by Will Neil. In the 59th minute, Will Neil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Innes McWalter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse McJames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Smiddy Celts's Graeme McRobie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Colin Booth. That made the score 0-6 after 82 minutes of play. Sean McDrain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colin Booth having to interfere. When the match was over Smiddy Celts could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gavião Kyikatejê throughout the match.
