Alcides Prada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AKADEMIK. 12 minutes into the match, SC Recanto's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Moura came free, but Alcides Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manuel Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Joaquim Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. AKADEMIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alcides Prada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of SC Recanto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AKADEMIK:s goal. Alcides Prada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Setúbal in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Joaquim Moura reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alcides Prada. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 34th minute of the match Isac Gueifão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernest Fânaru skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as AKADEMIK's Joaquim Moura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alcides Prada. That made the score 3-0 after 35 minutes of play. AKADEMIK's Ernest Fânaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Monsanto in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match, Manuel Setúbal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alcides Prada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. António Cavaco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ernest Fânaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Cavaco to strike the kick off in the second half. Eldjan Beqaj might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alcides Prada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eldjan Beqaj ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of SC Recanto booed when AKADEMIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Recanto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olívio Faria in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes SC Recanto got a freekick which was hit by António Aleixo. Sebastião Domingues missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 60 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alcides Prada right hand side. AKADEMIK's Joaquim Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alcides Prada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Moura took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alcides Prada. Alcides Prada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 79 minutes into the game, Elias Monsanto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Recanto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKADEMIK the free kick. A collision led to SC Recanto getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elias Monsanto hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Elias Monsanto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the game, 史瑜岩 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Alcides Prada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, 史瑜岩 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alcides Prada was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. If Lourenço Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AKADEMIK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
