But to his dismay, Alexandre Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute Ademar Bacelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alcides Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Diamantino Amaral made a huge save. When Cobaia FC's Vicente Amorim in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Gondoriz's goalie prevented a goal. 21 minutes into the match, SC Gondoriz's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Amorim came free, but Valério Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Gondoriz's Valério Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Amorim in the 21st minute of play. Diamantino Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Bacelar in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Gondoriz defense, Vicente Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valério Camargo. The SC Gondoriz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valério Camargo should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, José Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valério Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Amorim's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Vicente Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valério Camargo. SC Gondoriz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Carlos Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Valério Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Amorim in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademar Bacelar was the one to do the kick off. SC Gondoriz's Ademar Bacelar got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Gondoriz's Viriato Távora got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gregório Vilas Boas kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Carlos Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério Camargo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, SC Gondoriz's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Pinheiro came free, but Valério Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Amorim succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 67th playminute. Alcides Meireles hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cobaia FC's zone, Frederico Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Amaral came out of the goal and Frederico Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frederico Salgado scored 1-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vicente Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Valério Camargo made a huge save. Albertino Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Valério Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Gondoriz's Valério Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Amorim in the 92nd minute of play. Viriato Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Camargo having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Cobaia FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Gondoriz.
