Spectators: 7172 (Terracing: 5381, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Osvaldo Bettencourt took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandinho Paiva in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leal Madeira saved Goda FC from getting behind. Goda FC's Osvaldo Bettencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Kevin Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Goda FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Leonardo Medeiros hit a great ball. In the 17th minute of the match Mário Torres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leal Madeira skillfully saved the ball. Leal Madeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Paiva's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Fernandinho Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Goda FC's Gustavo Vasques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio Martins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sérgio Martins was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ramiro Mesquita. If Elias Junqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Fernandinho Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leal Madeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes, Kevin Aleixo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goda FC and the FC Avintes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernandinho Paiva got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Leal Madeira handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Vicente Abreu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leal Madeira. Goda FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leal Madeira was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The nice shot from Elias Junqueira in the 48thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sérgio Martins had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandinho Paiva to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC Avintes's goal looked a bit too open when Amável Taveira came free, but Sérgio Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Mariano Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandinho Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leal Madeira having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of FC Avintes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Goda FC:s goal. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Goda FC. Leonardo Medeiros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sérgio Martins. 2-0. Sérgio Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Bettencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Gustavo Vasques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Martins having to interfere. If Herbert Snaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Leal Madeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Avintes's André Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Avintes's Lucas Branco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leal Madeira but with some difficulty. Fernandinho Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leal Madeira having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Vasques in the 85th minute of play forced FC Avintes's goalkeeper Sérgio Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Fernandinho Paiva took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Leal Madeira to make any attempt to save it. When Osvaldo Bettencourt came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Goda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Bettencourt couldn't finish the play. Herbert Snaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leal Madeira having to interfere. Herbert Snaza might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leal Madeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herbert Snaza ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, Goda FC could leave the field as winners, despite FC Avintes having more of the ball for most of the match.
