Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) 6 minutes into the match, Sabugo's goalkeeper Aldaír Valentim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Cunha. Vítor Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Rangel in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, FC Rapide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Hermínio Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Vítor Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rapide's zone, Hermínio Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Camargo made a kick off. Álvaro Novais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Aguiar having to interfere. Hermínio Camargo struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Vítor Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabugo. The supporters of Sabugo booed when FC Rapide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Bessa took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldaír Valentim. Aldaír Valentim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Camargo in the 98th minute of play forced FC Rapide's goalkeeper Vítor Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabugo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
