Timóteo Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Sousa in the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Ramos in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timóteo Mendonça saved Lobato from getting behind. Ademar Setúbal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but David Matos made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Caetano Ruas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for David Matos to make any attempt to save it. 14 minutes into the match, fcfelgueiras's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Ruas came free, but David Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If José Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Lobato's Sebastião Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Matos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Adelino Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timóteo Mendonça having to interfere. Alberto Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Lima during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, fcfelgueiras's Filipe Lima got a free kick in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademar Setúbal got free with David Matos in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Matos was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Raul Severo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raul Severo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Timóteo Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Ramos went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Rafael Carvalhal walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Severo was the one to do the kick off. José Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timóteo Mendonça having to interfere. Lobato's Timóteo Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Ramos in the 55th minute of play. Alberto Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. fcfelgueiras's Gabriel Delgado was substituted for Ricardo Domingues. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, José Ramos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Timóteo Mendonça, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Lobato booed when fcfelgueiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Mário Rangel in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by fcfelgueiras's Adelino Sousa. In the 88th minute Sebastião Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes fcfelgueiras got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Santarém. After a rather tough play, Lobato's Fabiano Sesimbra got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Pedro Campos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Timóteo Mendonça. Lobato's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as fcfelgueiras's José Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Timóteo Mendonça. That made the score 3-2 after 94 minutes of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the fcfelgueiras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lobato.
