Laureano Modesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SC Apartadura getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Adolfo Fontes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Apartadura's zone, Rodrigo Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Castro came out of the goal and Rodrigo Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes SC Apartadura got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Simões. After a rather tough play, SL Pirralhos's Antero Vilalobos got a free kick in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, SL Pirralhos's goal looked a bit too open when David Porto came free, but António Aires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Gil Castro managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when SL Pirralhos's Rodrigo Pires fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. David Porto struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. António Aires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Apartadura. 35 minutes into the match, SL Pirralhos's goal looked a bit too open when David Porto came free, but António Aires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Laureano Modesto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rodrigo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Modesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gil Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Modesto to strike the kick off in the second half. José Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, SC Apartadura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Martins to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Apartadura getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Adolfo Fontes hit a great ball. António Aires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Cruz in the 63rd minute. Gil Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Vítor Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vítor Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. António Aires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SL Pirralhos's António Aires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SL Pirralhos from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Vítor Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rodrigo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gil Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Pires in the 96th minute of play. When Rodrigo Pires came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the SL Pirralhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Pires couldn't finish the play. SL Pirralhos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
