After 8 minutes, Egídio Furtado made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Lagomar FC's Afonso Peralta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Quintino Caldas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lagomar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintino Caldas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermes Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Madureira having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Caselho's goalkeeper Vicente Madureira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quintino Caldas. If Egídio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caselho's Frederico Bessa got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egídio Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lagomar FC's zone, Frederico Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Peralta came out of the goal and Frederico Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Quintino Caldas could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Vicente Madureira however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Caselho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Festas made a kick off. If Frederico Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute of the match Nuno Trigueiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Madureira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vicente Madureira came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lagomar FC's Edgar Festas. But to his dismay, Edgar Festas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vicente Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintino Caldas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quintino Caldas struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Vicente Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagomar FC. In the 75th match minute, Caselho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Edgar Festas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Caldas, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Fabrício Vigário's late challenge caught a Lagomar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício Vigário helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caselho's Fabrício Vigário got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Caselho getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hermano Raminhos hit a great ball.
