Donato Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Caldas in the 10th minute of play. Fábio Carvalheira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Afonso Peralta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Olavo Gueifão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Coroinha's Olavo Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 26th minute of the match Cristiano Corte-Real completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cristiano Corte-Real a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Afonso Peralta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Donato Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Caldas in the 31st minute of play. Lagomar FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Olavo Gueifão scored to the left of an out of position Afonso Peralta, making the score, 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lagomar FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Afonso Peralta, was totally fooled by Coroinha's Dércio Lustosa, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 44th minute, Hamilton Durães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintino Caldas in the 45th minute of play forced Coroinha's goalkeeper Donato Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Olavo Gueifão made the kick off in the second half. When Fábio Carvalheira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Coroinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Carvalheira couldn't finish the play. If Olavo Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Peralta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Carvalheira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermes Delgado hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Fábio Carvalheira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Afonso Peralta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Quintino Caldas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Donato Maia made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Coroinha's Olavo Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Peralta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Olavo Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coroinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Peralta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Fábio Carvalheira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olavo Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Carvalheira in the 85th minute of play forced Lagomar FC's goalkeeper Afonso Peralta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edgar Festas fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lagomar FC's protests and gave Edgar Festas a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Festas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Olavo Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Peralta having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Hermes Delgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lagomar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coroinha the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lagomar FC's Hermes Delgado got a free kick in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavo Gueifão in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Peralta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Quintino Caldas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coroinha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
